The models where made in a low poly art style, dents where added to the metal and wood portions of the models in order to add more detail. I used flat colors in order to stay true to the low poly style.
Reportthis hovercars where made as props for the capstone project.
Reportthe decision was made to add a new character the would fall under the previous shown grunt. this character is close range combat only.
ReportCharacters have been rigged and are ready to be animated, all of this characters have identical rigs to make retargeting animations easier.
ReportThese weapons were made for characters in the “Dice Or Die” Capstone project I’ve been working on with other classmates; both of these weapons were of my own design based on gun models I already had made, some major changes were made to give it a sci-fi aesthetic. The real weapon models used for this were a Glock 19 model and Spas-12. The original models can be seen below.
ReportAll of these characters were created from concepts made by various classmates of the group. The models were made with base mashes that I had available due to time constraints and my involvement in the animation and rigging process of said characters. There is one more character that is currently in the works and will be presented in a later blog post; see original concepts below.
ReportThis will be the concepts used for the weapon pack, both of this spears are fairly traditional designs the have been found in discoveries, the spears were a last minute addition to the pack in order to diversify the varieties of weapons in the pack, runes would be located in the bottom of the spear but could reconsider the location of the runes and make them more visible, might put some runes on the wooden handle staff itself.
ReportThis will be the two sword concepts used for the weapon pack, the sword on the right will have a curved tip similar to an axe, this sword wont be great for stabbing but will be great for causing major damage on bones and opening major wounds on the enemy, it will have runes on the pommel and the ring guard of the sword. The sword on the left is a more traditional sword that would most likely be used by the majority of the Vikings, the sword will have a minor indentation on the middle of the sword and some runes engraved on both faces, example of runes location can be seen on the picture below.
ReportBoth of these axes will be used in the pack, the left axe is a smaller one-hand axe that can be dual-wielded, the axe has a hole on the bottom of the handle for attaching to a belt. The axe on the right will be a traditional two-handed axe with a larger head. In both axes, there will be an indentation where the runes will be located, see the image below for examples.
ReportViking Weapon References for portfolio class, I will attempt to capture the imperfections and stress of the metal in a low poly art style along with the runes that Vikings used to put on their weapons.
